Billy McHaffie (Founder The Raindance Foundation)
The Raindance Foundation was set up in 2005 as an expression of human compassion to help those most in need. Our aims are to reach out and assist people who are affected by disease, poverty, homelessness and chemical dependence.
It was set up by William McHaffie who as a Christian and as part of his ministry works with the homeless and was moved by their plight.
It is hoped that you will be interested in our work and may wish to help to support us in it.

Derek Lamont (Director of Pastoral Care)
Derek Lamont comes onto the team in a Pastoral capacity. He has been a Minister of the Gospel in Scotland for 15 years. 11 of these near Invergordon, in the Highlands, and now the past 4 years in Edinburgh, where he is the minister of St Columbas Church. Dereks Church is situated in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle, and is a growing city centre congregation.
Derek is keen to offer whatever help he can to see disadvantaged people getting the kind of love and support and hope that The Raindance Foundation will bring.
While in the Highlands, Derek was aware, in his pastoral role, of a hidden problem of youth homelessness, and spent 7 years helping to set up a supported housing trust to provide homes for 16 18 year olds, who were on the street or on a friends floor. That project has successfully expanded and provides homes, advice and support in various centres in the Highlands.
Derek is married to Catriona and has four children with ages ranging from 14 to 3, is a keen amateur footballer, rides a motorbike and likes listening to a range of music. He is looking forward to working on this team, for Gods Glory.
